April Owlcrate Unboxing

Currently Listening to: My Most recently added songs (playlist)

This month’s Owlcrate box was head over heels. I was a little hesitant at first on this one, I don’t really like love stuff but they said there would be something for Jane Austen fans so I kept faith. Then I saw spoilers on instagram and I became very hesitant….it didn’t look like I was going to like anything in the box. That’s the thing with these subscriptions, you never know what you are going to get. Anyway, I have to say that I’m not sure why I was hesitant, once the box was at my door and I opened it, I was so pleased with the contents!

Now I wouldn’t say this was my favorite Owlcrate that I’ve gotten (that’s still the Caravel themed one) but this one was still really good and after comparing what thebookishbox got this month, I’m happy I had owlcrate (the only two subscriptions I’ve ever gotten so far). The contents are below with a little description and picture of everything πŸ™‚

Above is a picture of the awesome Jane Austen inspired head band by Storiarts. The only downside to the headband is that you can’t read the print very well to know what part of Pride and Prejudice this is. Otherwise it’s a super cute idea and I’ll probably be wearing it around the house in no time! The other item in the picture is just everything that we received (which is mostly below).

This cute key chain is up next. I’m thinking we might end up using it for our extra house key (my boyfriend and I both have harry potter theme key chains at the moment). This one is super cute though was brought to us by The Bookworm Boutique. The quote says: The way I feel about him is like a heartbeat–soft and persistent underlying everything. It’s from Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda. I’ve never heard of it but I might need to look it up! Downfall to the key chain is that I’m pretty sure one of the words is spelled wrong, sigh….at least it’s only a key chain.

This 20170420_182041art print is my second favorite thing in the box. I haven’t read A Court of Thorns and Roses series yet but it’s on my list so I’m really happy to get a glimpse of what the story is going to be like. I can imagine putting this little print (made by Evie Bookish) in a little frame and in my someday library along with some of my other favorite quotes from books and/or about reading!

The next collection of stuff is something I’ve been waiting for in every single box I’ve ever gotten so I was so happy to see it in this one! That would be the tea by The Tea Spot. I cannot wait to curl up with a book and try this tea, I have to admit, I wish more of the boxes provided tea. Most book readers drink tea so I feel like it would be a hit. The other item in this picture is the candle I got from Novelly Yours. What’s cool about the candle is that there were 3 different candles one randomly put in each box so not everyone gets the same. Mine was vanilla and it is to die for.

Last but not least is the book that was in the box this month. It’s The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. I’ll admit, this book sounds okay. As you guys can tell by my blog posts, I really like historical fiction and this one is a contemporary/love so we will see how it goes. Of course, this is why I’ve been getting boxes with books in them, I wanted to 1.) Read some that are new to the book world and 2.) I want to broaden what I read. What better way of doing that than getting them in these boxes with all this other stuff!

Overall, I’m really happy with this box. Everything in it seems to have been crafted so perfectly. Next month is Cosmic Explosion, I’m hoping for a baby groot funko pop but we will see! Next month is also my last subscription with Owlcrate. I think I have a plan for what I’m going to do moving forward but you will have to wait and see!

Anyone else get owlcrate this month? What did you think of the box overall?
