Washington Park Historic District’s Tulips

I decided to name this Washington Park Historic District’s Tulips because there is so much more to this park than just Tulips. Nestled a mile away from the Capitol Building in Albany, New York you can find this large park one of four all within walking distance of the Capitol. Which makes my walks really fun and exciting in the beautiful weather!

The park has a lot to offer, there’s a lot of great walking trails, it’s close to restaurants, there’s a historic interest there, a little theater that does performances in the good weather, a pond and of course the tulips in the spring. In fact, there is a Tulip Festival every Mother’s Day Weekend. There’s music, parades, food vendors, Ms. Tulip and of course the gorgeous Tulips above. I didn’t want to deal with the crowds and lucky for me I didn’t have to working so close to this park!

PS: I took ALL of these pictures with my Samsung Galaxy, this just shows how absolutely gorgeous the Tulips are as well as the day we went to visit!
