Falling for Fall

Happy Friday the 13th in the wonderful month of October! Hopefully today isn’t too spooky for you guys! I think I mentioned in my September wrap up that fall is my favorite season of the year, in fact, October is probably my favorite month out of the year for so many reasons! So when I saw that book hooked nook had a post up last week all about fall, I knew I had to try it out!

What is your favorite fall scent?

I’m not sure what my favorite fall scent is, I think I’m going to go with the air, there is something about the brisk air and the smell of leaves that really get me into the mood of this season.

Do you prefer apple stuff or pumpkin stuff?

This is an easy one….apple. I’m not really a pumpkin fan, but give me apples, Apple pies, Apple cider (hot/cold and with or without caramel) and I’m all about it.

What is the one thing that you look forward to every single fall?

That’s easy, the foliage. The colors of fall are my absolute favorite. It’s what I looked forward to most in the season.

How do you like to spend the more chilly/cloudy days in fall?

A few different ways, all that involve being outside. My favorites would be hiking or going for a run .

Which do you prefer: Halloween or Thanksgiving?

I want to say Halloween but honestly we don’t do much for Halloween except watch all of our favorite movies, ans carve some pumpkins so I would probably say thanksgiving only because we get to see family.

What is the one way you embrace the fall season?

I love everything about fall but I try to embrace the colors in everything — from what we eat, to what we see, and the decorations we put up around the house.

What photo’s would you like to take this fall?

I want to take a lot of foliage pictures if I can help it. We are heading to the fingerlakes the middle of the month and going to Watkins Glen where I’m hoping to get some really pretty pictures.

Favorite childhood memory from this season?

That’s easy. Trick or treating! We lived in this huge neighborhood so the amount of candy each kid got was more than they could eat in a year. My friends used to get dropped off in my neighborhood because it was the place to be on Halloween.

What is your favorite trend (fashion, makeup, etc) so far this season?

Fall boots! I wait all year for my fall boots and darker clothes. Don’t get me wrong, I like my bright clothes but there’s something about being all cozy that fall being a out in me.

Describe what the fall weather really looks like where you live?

Well, I live in Upstate New York, not too far from the Adirondacks so the foliage is well known here. Right now, part of the state is in peak season, where the leaves are their brightest while other areas are just changing. I’ve been impatiently waiting to get out there and see it all at peak!

This was such a fun post, I can’t wait to do more like these. I could go ahead and tag some people but instead I want to open it up to all my followers. I would love to hear your take on fall in your area and what you love so much about this season. Anyone else love it as much as me?

I love the fall season. I’m here in Portland, Oregon where the seasons are so distinct. I’m glad to be here this year to see the change of colors, the squirrels running around collecting acorns, the pumpkins are grown in many neighbors’ yards. The fall season almost doesn’t exist in southern California. I love fall season! Very nice post!
