One Very Odd Teacher

I received this book through Shalini’s Blog Tour for an honest review.

Author: Robbie Yates

Pages: 82 (eBook), 144 (Paperback)

Book Blurb and Synopsis: The humming noise got louder. Adam willed himself to focus. He had to finish his math test. Suddenly, the noise became unbearable. He glanced up. Mrs Murphy was inches away, leaning over another kid’s desk. Was the noise coming from her?

Every child remembers a teacher who was a little bizarre, prickly or ill-tempered. Some teachers, though, are very odd indeed, and warrant some closer attention…

One Very Odd Teacher by Robbie Yates

Review:

I think this is my first children’s book in years and I must admit I loved it and honestly had no idea where it was going, but it was fun, and lighthearted (though I admit, it does get into how terrible some things can be — I used things here as not to spoil the story.  This story starts out with Adam honestly thinking he might be going a little crazy, or at least he’s afraid everyone else will think he’s going a little crazy. But then he starts to investigate his teacher Mrs. Murphy and he starts to truly believe he’s not going crazy but something is very odd indeed with his new teacher. But while this story is about Adam and his very odd teacher it’s also on having confidence in yourself and trusting your instincts. I honestly want to tell you everything I loved about this story but I don’t want to spoil it for you, so if you have a child(ren) can you just go buy this for me? Then we can chat!

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars
